Terms of Use

In short: Nextsode is a personal watch diary. The account is yours and so is what you write. All we ask in return: don't ruin other people's experience (especially when it comes to spoilers), don't poke at the system, and don't post unlawful content.

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an account you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, you can close your account.

2. Your account

The email address you give must be yours and valid — it is the only way to verify your account and to reset your password. You can't use the app until you open the link we send to that address after sign-up.
Keeping your password safe is your responsibility. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
You may not create an account if you are under 13.
One account per person; you may not transfer your account to someone else.

3. Your content is yours

The reviews, comments, lists and messages you write are yours. The only permission you give us is the one needed to run the service: to store your content, show it according to the visibility you chose, and back it up. We do not use your content in advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not license it to third parties. When you delete it, it is gone.

4. What you may not do

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive users. Harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content and impersonation are not allowed. Reported content is reviewed by hand and acted on within 24 hours: content that breaks the rules is removed and accounts that keep breaking them are suspended or closed. Every review, comment, room message and profile can be reported (the ⋯ menu; press and hold a room message) and every user can be blocked (same menu; your blocked accounts live in Settings → Blocked accounts). Post deliberate spoilers. The entire architecture of the app is built to prevent them; trying to work around a lock is grounds for suspending an account.
Harassment, hate speech, threats; impersonating someone else.
Posting unlawful content; infringing copyright (including piracy links).
Sending bulk automated requests, overloading the service, trying to get around security measures, or trying to reach other users' data.
Using the app to scrape catalogue data through reverse engineering.

5. Catalogue data and third parties

Show and film information comes from TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. "Where to watch" data comes from JustWatch via TMDB and is for information only — it does not guarantee that a title is available on a platform. Nextsode does not stream, host or link to shows and films; it only helps you record what you watch.

6. Pricing

The app is currently free and there is no paid plan. If a paid option is added later, and if existing features were ever to move behind it, that would be announced in advance.

7. Availability

Nextsode is provided "as is". We cannot guarantee that it will run without interruption or error; maintenance, updates and faults can cause downtime. To guard against losing data, we suggest taking regular backups with Settings → Export my data.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we accept no liability for indirect damages arising from use of the service (loss of data, loss of profit, loss of use). This limitation does not affect rights you cannot waive by law.

9. Closing an account

You: Settings → Delete my account, whenever you want, without giving a reason.
Us: in case of a serious breach of the rules above we may suspend or close an account. Where possible we warn first.

10. Changes and governing law

If these terms change, the date above is updated; significant changes are announced inside the app. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain reserved.
